history and culture
based on wars
violence and extermination
in ritual slaughterhouses
no glory
only a nightmare of misery
the smell of 
death and money lingers
the meat grinder
history shows
devours every color
does not discriminate
where the canvas of 
infinite slaughter hangs
painted with the blood of 
slaughtered humanity

a war is being waged
not the one in Syria or Yemen
not the one by fascists
scattering Donbas
not by America's drones
at a garden party
because someone down the street
might have googled something
not by NATO selling
slaves in Libya
sharpening teeth
at the butcher of Palestine
another kind of war
straight from Pavlov
perhaps struggle
would be a better word

in every mind
global conflict
with a million fronts
in thousands of theaters
the fight is eternal
in every direction
everywhere in between
in the entire species
